‘(Psycho)social networking’ in Counseling Today

Counseling Today just published an article I wrote about making appropriate referrals.

Many of us in the counseling field have put much of our energy into getting our names out there, so that other professionals will refer clients to us. But it also takes some effort to decide where we send our own clients and others for complementary services, such as psychiatry, acupuncture, career counseling, etc. It should be more complicated than just picking names out of the phone book. In my research, I was thrilled to interview private practice guru Lynn Grodzki, as well as so many other knowledgeable and interesting counselors willing to share their secrets. Check out the whole article here.
